E. Jewelle Johnson, Immediate Past President - Jewelle is a partner at the labor and employment boutique Fisher & Phillips, LLP. Jewelle graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with a Bachelor of Philosophy and a Bachelor of Arts. She graduated from Duke University School of Law in 1997. In her ten years of practice, Jewelle has successfully defended numerous companies against employment discrimination claims arising under Title VII, the ADEA, the ADA, the FMLA, and the FLSA in both state and federal courts. Ms. Johnson advises clients on preventative measures aimed at reducing employment-related claims and provides management and employee training on such topics as diversity, discrimination and harassment, wage and hour laws, and discipline and discharge. Jewelle also serves Fisher & Phillips as Co-Chair of the Firm's Diversity Committee, and she is a member of the Recruiting Committee, Development Committee and the Firm's Katrina Relief Foundation Board.
